Does Deriv give a bonus?
Not at the moment. Deriv ran a 20% first deposit bonus on MT5 Swap-free accounts, and its own help centre states the promotion ended on 31 July 2026. Pages describing it as available are describing something that has expired — which is why every bonus claim about any broker needs a date attached.

What it actually was
Extra margin, not extra money. Deriv was explicit: the bonus was added to the MT5 balance to support trades and let you open larger positions than the deposit alone allowed, it was not withdrawable, and it could not be used as cash. Transfer 100 USD, get 20 USD of margin.
It was also fragile by design. Withdrawing anything while it was active removed it immediately — even a withdrawal smaller than the bonus — and it was removed automatically if equity dropped below the bonus amount. On expiry, available margin fell, which Deriv warned could affect open positions.
The one genuinely favourable term: profits made while using it stayed with the trader after the bonus was removed.

Why the sources disagree about this
Search for a Deriv bonus and you will find pages stating flatly that Deriv does not offer bonuses, and pages describing an active 20% deposit bonus in detail. Both were accurate when written; neither is dated prominently enough for a reader to tell.
That is the general failure of bonus content rather than a Deriv-specific one. Promotions run for a defined window, review pages are not revisited when the window closes, and an affiliate link keeps paying whether or not the offer behind it exists.
The check that resolves it takes a minute: the broker's own promotions page. If the offer is not there, it is not running, whatever a review says.
How to read a bonus offer at any broker
Ask what form it takes. Credit that functions as margin — the Deriv model — increases position size without increasing what you can withdraw, so it magnifies the outcome in both directions. It is not free money, and treating it as such is how it does damage.
Ask what removes it. Bonuses generally vanish on withdrawal, on an equity threshold or on a date, and the conditions are where the real terms live.
